Multiple-variable energy forecast calculator
Multiple-variable energy forecast
Estimate energy from several measured drivers using fitted coefficients; each term must have energy units.
Units
Epred=a×Production+b×Floor area+c×Degree days
Epred=a×Production+b×Floor area+c×Degree days
Calculator
Enter the values you know and leave one box empty. Calculate finds the empty one, the result or any input.
Worked example
Given
- a = 4,600 Btu/unit
- Production = 900 unit
- b = 240 Btu/ft²
- Floor area = 8,000 ft²
- c = 1,800 Btu/(°F·day)
- Degree days = 450 °F·day
Epred=4600×900+240×8000+1800×450=6,870,000
Given
- a = 20 MJ/unit
- Production = 3,000 unit
- b = 30 MJ/m²
- Floor area = 2,000 m²
- c = 100 MJ/(K·day)
- Degree days = 400 K·day
Epred=20×3000+30×2000+100×400=160,000
